Mission Statement & Safety Measures (COVID-19)
We at l’Ecrivain Restaurant we will provide the best possible fine dining experience to all our Guests, be a successful, profitable business and be a rewarding place to work for all our Employees. The Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic is an un-precendented challenge for all the Hospitality Sector and we are no exception. Our new work practices reflect this and our main priority is the safety of all our team at all times and our of course our Guests while they are dining with us.
We insist that all our Team frequently wash their hands and hand sanitising each and every time before they approach a Guest at the table, as well as the very important coughing/sneezing etiquette, all the while observing recommended social distancing as much as humanly possible. We are adhering closely with the HSE/HSA , W.H.O., Failte Ireland & Government Guidelines post Covid-19. We have always been very proud of our excellent hygiene standards. All our Team have completed an on-line Back to Work Course as to how to work safely and for our Guests safey post Covid-19. We have strict procedures in place for the safety of all our Staff & Guests. We have invested in individual Face Visors, more disposable Gloves, Extra Non Touch Sanitisers in clear view of Guests and staff, Clear Screen Dividers between tables that are along the same wall and impossible to stagger their position, as well as even more hygiene practices, in particular the common areas, frequently touched surfaces and our toilets to comply with the current guidelines and in order to operate as a Fine Dining Michelin Star Establishment.
We are starting at 5.30pm each evening in order to stagger our Guests arrival & departure. If you have dietary requirements, allergies or otherwise, please submit these at least 48 hours before your reservation. We will be re-opening on June 30th 2020, from Tuesday to Saturday each week for Dinner Service only. Until we are guided otherwise, there will be a no handshake policy in our premises. No taking of coats or personal property until otherwise guided to change this practice. Temperature checking will be in place for all Guests and Staff upon entering the building. Guests will only be able to enter in small groups to ensure the premises does not become over crowded. Credit/Debit card payment is encouraged. All our seating capacity has been changed to reflect the new one metre separation of each table. Our original plan was to close our doors for the last time the end of July. However due to the Government Lockdown we have decided to trade until December 2020 when we will have lunch service from Monday to Friday.
For group bookings of 6 or more people, again we need to know if you are all from the same household in order to proceed with your reservation. If not we need written consent that you are all in agreement in sitting at the same table. We ask in advance that you and your Guests act responsibly while on our premises and respect the social distancing guidelines for your safety and the safety of all our Team.
Last but not least, please confirm that you are willing to furnish the names, addresses and mobile phone numbers of all the people in your party in the event that Contract Tracing by the HSE may be necessary.
We look forward to welcoming you back very soon to l’Ecrivain Restaurant.
With all our very best wishes
Derry, Sallyanne & All the wonderful Team @l’Ecrivian Restaurant.
