Derry & Sallyanne receive the Hall of Fame Award 2019
Derry & Sallyanne Clarke are humbled, delighted and very honoured to receive The Hall of Fame Award 2019 from The Good Eating Guide.
They opened l’Ecrivain Restaurant on July 7th 1989 and this Michelin Star Establishment (concseutively since 2002) has gone from strength to strength with the finest quality food and service at affordable prices.
Derry said: ‘I am thrilled that we are still relevant after 30 years. Who would have thought that we would still be here when we opened up in the basement restaurant all those years ago. I always had a dream of owning my own restaurant and this has been a dream come true’.
Sallyanne said; “It is wonderful, thank you. We were there together building our business, but we could not have done it without all the people on our team – past and present, many of whom have gone on to open their own establishments. Some have become Michelin Star Chefs in their own right too. We are a family and we have been very lucky we always have had such a loyal customer base. Thank you everyone.
